Doctors
Dr. Kevin J Soncrant , DVM

Dr. Kevin J. Soncrant has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost twenty years. A 1981 Clay High School graduate, Kevin married his high school sweetheart and they headed to The Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Agriculture in 1985. His first of two daughters, Heather, was born during his junior year in undergrad. He was accepted to The Ohio Sate College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and four years later graduated earning the title of DVM. His second daughter, Missy, was born during his junior year of veterinary college.
Dr. Soncrant practiced veterinary medicine in several small animal practices before purchasing his father- in- law's (Dr. William Iman) practice in 1996. From the very beginning Dr. Soncrant , his family, and staff at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital have been dedicated to giving clients and their pets progressive, compassionate, personal care.
Dr. Soncrant and his wife Deb live east of Oregon on a small farm with their ponies; Apple Jack and Sugar, 4 dogs; Rocky, Summer, Kharma, and Callie, 2 cats; Dom and Dot, and their numerous koi. He enjoys family time, wetland restoration projects, observing and photographing wildlife, snorkeling, spinning, fishing, and of course, cheering on the Buckeyes. Go Bucks!
Dr. Heather R Soncrant, DVM

Dr. Heather R. Soncrant is a 2002 valedictorian graduate of Clay High School. She attended OSU for her undergraduate studies where she also had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia. During her undergraduate studies she worked for Med Vet in Columbus (a referral and emergency clinic). She had the opportunity to experience reception work as well as being able to work closely with a veterinary radiologist. Dr. Heather also was a rider for OSU's equestrian team and traveled to Texas to compete in Nationals. Dr. Heather followed in her father's footsteps as she too graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2009. Dr. Heather works side by side with her father as our second full time veterinarian. Dr. Heather lives in Curtice,OH with her fiance Jesse, their dogs Francie and Woody, 2 cats Sienna and Nugent, 2 birds Romeo and Neeki, and Thoroughbred Dunkin. She enjoys family time, horseback riding, gardening, and anything to do with animals.....she is a true animal lover. And of course, she was born a buckeye...Go Bucks!
Management
Mrs. Debra K Soncrant
Deb graduated from Clay High School in 1980. She worked at Iman Veterinary Hospital (currently Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital) as a receptionist until accompanying her husband, Dr. Soncrant, to Columbus where she worked and concentrated on raising their two daughters. After returning to their home town of Oregon, when Dr. Soncrant completed his DVM program, Deb returned to working at the clinic part-time and also attended The University of Toledo where she earned a degree in Elementary Education in 1995. She has been a teacher in the Oregon City Schools for 12 years. She currently teaches Art at Clay High School after returning to the University of Toledo and earning a second teaching certification in the field of Visual Arts. She is currently working on her Masters of Education in Art degree. Deb assists with personnel management and bookkeeping duties. Deb and her husband, Dr. Soncrant, live east of Oregon on a small farm with their ponies; Apple Jack and Sugar, 5 dogs; Rocky, Summer, Sunny, Kharma, and Callie, 2 cats Dom and Dot, and their numerous koi. Deb enjoys family time, volunteering at Cedar Creek Church, painting, gardening, snorkeling, photography, fishing, spinning, yoga, and cheering on the Buckeyes…..Go Bucks!!
Mary Kelley
Mary Kelley is one of our two office managers for Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1981, and has worked with Dr. Soncrant since 1996. She has enjoyed the many changes that have taken place over the years, and is always up for a new challenge. Mary lives in Toledo, Ohio with her husband Mike, son Shawn and 2 dogs, Jake and Chloe, and cat Joe.
Missy Hagemann (Soncrant)

Missy is a 2006 graduate of St. Ursula Academy. She attended The University of Toledo for Business Managment. Missy is now putting her management skills to work in the office and helping to run the family business as she is our office/personnel manager. You will see her around a lot as she embarks on some new appointed duties involving technological advances here at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital. Missy enjoys family-time with her husband Steve and son Lucas, fishing, jetskiing, fourwheeling, and just about any outside sport or activity they can find. She lives east of Oregon with her husband Steve, son Lucas, and their dogs Bruiser & Sunny .....she was born a Buckeye too, Go Bucks!
Technicians
Robin DeVore, RVT
Robin DeVore, RVT, started at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital in January of 2004, while she went to school to become a veterinary technician. She graduated from Stautzenberger College in October of 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. She is also a member of the Ohio Association of Veterinary Technicians. Robin is thrilled to have a job that she loves and believes she has finally found her niche in life! She lives in Northwood with her husband, David, and their German Shepherd, Zoe.
Vicki Riley, RVT

Vicki Riley, RVT is a 1987 graduate of Columbus State Community College with a Veterinary Technology degree. She has been employed at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital since July of 1997. She currently is serving as the treasurer and membership chairperson for the Ohio Association of Veterinary Technicians. She serves on the advisory boards for Stautzenberger and Penta County Vocational School. Vicki and her husband, Todd live in Oregon, Ohio with their cats, Moose,Trax, & Beeg.
Vet/Tech Assistant
Kim Hartwig
Kim Hartwig has been employed at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital since Dr. Soncrant took over the practice in 1996. She previously worked for Dr. Iman off and on since 1986. You will see her around the office as she is assisting Dr.Soncrant and our techs being our "Jill of all trades"!! Kim lives in Oregon, Ohio along with her husband Jeff, kids Cody and Stacey, and also with their "4 legged kids" Josie, A black lab and her 2 "sister's" Matches and Pumpkin. Kim enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, painting, and working on home projects.
Receptionists
Lyndsey Garcia
Lyndsey started working at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital in February of 2005. She is a graduate of Clay High School and has been working in the Veterinary field since March of 1997. She loves spending her free time with her husband, Mario and their daughters Elaina and Olivia. Her critter crew includes her dog Macen (Boston Terrier) and her two cats Marcel and Merlin. All of which were acquired for the priviledge of working at an animal hospital. She keeps herself busy working part-time, checking patients in and out, answering phones, filing, organizing and helping out other co-workers whenever she can. At home her time is spent trying to keep up with her girls and making a cozy home for herself and her family. She enjoys her job and her co-workers, they are all wonderful people. They make those fours hours of sleep mornings (thanks to my little monster) not so bad. Every day is enjoyable and exciting and you never know what to expect. She plans to continue working at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital!
Renee Boyd
Renee is a 2002 graduate of W.H.S. and she just recently starting working in the Veterinary field. It has always been a dream of hers to work with animals and in June 2008 her dream had come true as she started working at Maumee Bay Veterinary Hospital. She is the newest member of our team and you will see her at the front desk as shes working as one our receptionists. When ever she isn't working she is at home spending time with her beautiful baby girl Makayla, her boyfriend Darrell, and their three dogs Dozer, Dakota, and Rajah.
Leah Chastain
Leah is originally from Green Bay, WI. She moved to Toledo three years ago with her husband John. They moved down here after getting married because her husband got a job as a zoo keeper at the Toledo Zoo. She is currently enrolled at Stautzenberger College and is on her way to becoming a veterinary technician. Her interests are in herpetology and sighthound breeds, more specifically geckos and Irish Wolfhounds! It is her dream to one day own a Wolfhound and she already has alot of gecko friends.
Kennel
Roxanna Bryant

Roxanna started working here in 2000. She moved to Ohio from KY in 1989. She graduated from the Ohio School for The Deaf. She has two sisters that are both married. She lives with her mom and her step-dad. She loves to work on her computer and talk to friends. She now has three cats and two dogs. The newest edition to her family is her new Boston Terrier that she calls Baby Girl.
